ABOUT US
We design functional gear with you in mind. Our belt bags are like that cool friend who always has your back...without any of the awkward hugs. Designed by a guy who just couldn't stand the full-body pocket pat-down to find essentials, we're here to end the era of "Where's my pen?" and "My phone is dying, do you have a charger?"
Type belt bags (let's be honest, yes, you can also call them fanny packs) are durable, stylish, and designed to work as hard as you while helping you keep track of your stuff when you're off the clock too. And hey, we're not just about pockets; we're also about giving back. A part of every purchase goes to helping healthcare workers dodge burnout and have access to much-needed supplies.
Type was founded with one goal in mind: make the lives of healthcare workers a little bit easier. From long hours to high-stress situations, working in healthcare comes with its fair share of challenges.
Which is why we're committed to giving back to those in our field. A portion of profits from every Type fanny pack goes to organizations dedicated to fighting burnout among healthcare workers and to donating medical supplies to healthcare workers in need.
Each bag is designed with healthcare workers in mind to make their lives easier.

About Our Founder
Type was founded by me, Abid: a former fashion editor turned physician who has always cared a little too much about the stuff I buy.
After years of working in healthcare and carrying too many things with not enough pockets, I started Type to make a better everyday bag: something practical enough for a shift and polished enough for real life.
Starting Type during med school was a lot and keeping it alive during residency was even more. I've had a lot of help along the way from friends, collaborators, early customers, and people who jumped in to help with everything from tech packs and design to feedback and tariffs.
So, if you’ve been part of this journey or bought a bag: thank you. You the birthday.
