By accessing our website or purchasing from Type, you agree to these Terms and to the policies referenced in them, including our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Returns, Store Credit & Refund Policy.

Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or purchase from us.

1. About Type

Type sells physical products, including bags, accessories, self-care products, and related lifestyle goods.

Our products are designed to be useful, thoughtful, and design-forward, but they should be used only as intended and according to any product-specific instructions, warnings, or care information we provide.

2. Eligibility

By using our website or placing an order, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to agree to these Terms.

We do not guarantee that every product will meet every customer’s expectations, preferences, or intended use.

5. Product Use and Disclaimer

Type products are designed for everyday organization, carry, comfort, personal use, and lifestyle use.

Our bags, accessories, self-care products, and related goods are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Any self-care or personal-care products sold by Type are intended for general cosmetic, comfort, or lifestyle use only unless expressly stated otherwise. They are not intended to treat puffiness, dark circles, inflammation, wrinkles, sleep deprivation, pain, injury, or any medical or dermatologic condition.

Individual experiences may vary. Please discontinue use if irritation, discomfort, or an adverse reaction occurs. For medical concerns, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

You are responsible for determining whether a product is appropriate for your use.

6. Orders

When you place an order, you agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing, shipping, contact, and payment information.

Placing an order does not guarantee acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, limit, or modify an order for any lawful reason, including:

Suspected fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity
Inventory or availability issues
Pricing, description, promotion, or shipping errors
Incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable shipping information
Suspected reseller, distributor, or bulk-purchasing activity
Abuse of discounts, promotions, returns, refunds, or chargebacks
Violation of these Terms or our policies

If we cancel an order after payment has been processed, we will issue any applicable refund to the original payment method, unless otherwise permitted by law.

7. Pricing, Promotions, and Availability

Prices, promotions, discounts, bundles, free gifts, shipping offers, and product availability may change at any time without notice.

Promotional codes, discounts, bundles, and offers may not be combined unless we expressly say they can be combined.

Promotions may be limited by date, product, quantity, location, customer, or other conditions.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or correct promotions, discounts, bundles, or pricing errors at any time.

If a pricing, promotion, or product-information error affects your order, we may contact you with options or cancel and refund the affected order.

8. Shipping

Shipping timelines, rates, methods, and delivery estimates are described in our Shipping Policy and at checkout.

Most orders ship within 4–6 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page, at checkout, or in a preorder/backorder notice.

Delivery timelines are estimates only. Once a package is transferred to the shipping carrier, final delivery is handled by the carrier.

Type is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, customs, holidays, incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or other events outside our control.

Please review your shipping address carefully before placing an order. Type is not responsible for delays, losses, or failed deliveries caused by an incorrect or incomplete address provided at checkout.

9. Canada Orders, Duties, and Customs

We may ship select products to Canada.

Canadian customers are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, carrier fees, and any other charges required for delivery. These fees are not included in the product price or shipping cost unless clearly stated at checkout.

Type does not control customs fees, import taxes, brokerage fees, carrier fees, or customs delays.

Delivery timelines for Canadian orders are estimates only and may vary based on customs processing, carrier delays, holidays, or other factors outside our control.

Canadian orders are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange, except where an item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing something from the order.

If a Canadian package is refused, abandoned, or returned because customs duties, taxes, fees, or delivery charges were not paid, original shipping fees are non-refundable. Any return shipping, carrier fees, customs charges, or handling costs charged to Type may be deducted from any refund or credit that Type chooses to issue.

10. Preorders and Backorders

Some products may occasionally be offered for preorder or backorder.

If an item is a preorder or backorder, the estimated shipping window will be listed on the product page or otherwise communicated before purchase.

Estimated shipping windows are not guaranteed. If there is a meaningful delay, we will contact you with an update and provide options as required by law.

If your order includes both in-stock and preorder/backorder items, we may ship the order together when all items are available unless otherwise stated.

11. Returns, Store Credit, Refunds, and Exchanges

Returns, store credit, refunds, exchanges, cancellations, damaged items, missing items, and packages marked delivered are governed by our Returns, Store Credit & Refund Policy and Shipping Policy.

For U.S. orders, eligible standard returns are issued as store credit only, unless otherwise required by law or stated in our policy.

Canadian orders are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange, except where an item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing something from the order.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or stated in our policy.

Items marked final sale, gift cards, customized or personalized items, opened or used personal-care/self-care products, and hygiene-sensitive products once opened are not eligible for return unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.

12. Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at info@carrytype.com.

We can only cancel an order if it has not yet been processed, packed, or had a shipping label created.

Once an order has been processed, packed, or shipped, we cannot guarantee cancellation.

13. Packages Marked Delivered

If tracking shows that a package was delivered to the shipping address provided at checkout, Type is not responsible for replacing or refunding the package.

We will review these situations case by case and help where we can, but we cannot guarantee replacement, refund, or store credit for packages marked delivered to the correct address.

Please check with household members, neighbors, building staff, mailrooms, front desks, or the local carrier office before contacting us about a package marked delivered.

14. Reviews, Submissions, and User Content

If you submit or share a review, photo, video, comment, tag, testimonial, social media post, idea, feedback, or other content with Type, you represent that:

The content is truthful and based on your real experience
You own or have the rights to share the content
The content does not infringe the rights of another person or business
The content is not false, misleading, abusive, defamatory, obscene, unlawful, or harmful
The content does not contain confidential, sensitive, or private information that should not be public

By submitting or sharing content with Type, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, distribute, repost, and share that content in connection with our website, social media, marketing, advertising, emails, newsletters, product pages, and business operations.

We may edit content for length, formatting, grammar, clarity, or platform requirements, but we will not intentionally misrepresent your words.

We may moderate, reject, remove, or decline to display content that we believe is fake, misleading, abusive, spam, irrelevant, unlawful, infringing, offensive, or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms or our policies.

We do not remove or suppress honest customer reviews simply because they are negative.

15. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and related channels, including the Type name, logos, product names, product designs, photographs, videos, graphics, illustrations, copy, website content, packaging, designs, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Type and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, sell, resell, exploit, or use our intellectual property without our prior written permission.

Nothing on our website grants you any ownership rights in Type’s intellectual property.

16. Marketing, Newsletters, and Communications

By providing your email address where marketing is permitted, you may receive emails from Type about products, launches, promotions, updates, brand content, newsletters, founder notes, recommendations, stories, or related editorial content.

Marketing and newsletter communications may be sent through Shopify, Klaviyo, Substack, or similar platforms.

You can unsubscribe from marketing or newsletter emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us at info@carrytype.com.

Even if you unsubscribe from marketing or newsletter emails, we may still send transactional or service-related messages about your orders, shipping, returns, store credit, account, or customer service requests.

By using our website or placing an order, you acknowledge that we may collect, use, share, and process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Type’s total liability for any claim related to an order, product, website use, or service will not exceed the amount you paid for the product or order giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Type, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, suppliers, and partners from any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost, or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to:
